Arena Leipzig

Amazingly convertible – Incredibly versatile

Opened in 2002, ARENA LEIPZIG is one of Europe’s most modern multipurpose halls, receiving half a million or so visitors every year. The artistic program is incredibly versatile, from rock, pop, punk, metal and schlager music, through to electric, folk and film music – the event calendar of ARENA LEIPZIG attracts fans of all ages and genres.

Famous bands and artists who have performed there at the audiences’ delight are, for example: Rammstein, Pink, Die Toten Hosen, Kraftklub, Sting, Fanta Vier, Peter Gabriel, Scooter, Helene Fischer, Mark Knopfler, David Garrett, Volbeat and Simply Red. The list across all genres could go on.

In addition, family events, such as "Apassionata", "Cirque du Soleil" or "Tabaluga" and "Filmmusik in Concert" enjoy great popularity. Comedy lovers are highly entertained by Mario Barth, Otto, Olaf Schubert and Co. And handball fans cheer on their local teams during seasonal competitions. But ARENA LEIPZIG is also an equally ideal venue for conferences, congresses or film events.

ARENA LEIPZIG owes the breadth of its offerings to its great flexibility and versatility. Event organizers can create optimal conditions to stage events of different magnitudes according to their own ideas. A combination of firmly installed and variably extendable stands on the one hand, and optional seating arrangements in the stalls on the other, creates room for attendances of between 1,800 and 8,200 (seated) and about 3,000 and 12,300 (standing). Thus, ARENA LEIPZIG is the largest venue in the city.

It also has a SPORTSBAR with a terrace which invites visitors to linger not only at events. During events, additional snack stalls offer refreshments and much more.
